A new way to connect – seasonal letters arriving March 2025

The new year is here, filled with anticipation and hope for good things to come. I have been busy planning and preparing for new things too. I am beyond excited to begin the first post of 2025 with news I’ve been eagerly waiting to share – I will be sending out physical letters four times a year to celebrate the arrival of each new season, starting this spring!

This idea has been taking shape in my head for a long time. If you’ve followed me on social media for a while, you might remember me talking about letters I’ve received in the past and still treasure to this day.

Letters are a wonderful way to foster connection. Writing them requires us to pause, reflect, and find meaning in our experiences. It demands effort to translate our thoughts into something beautiful and timeless, something worth sending out. All of this, in my opinion, is an expression of love. I see immense value in letters, especially at a time when we are more depleted of real connection than ever before.

I have been sharing stories of places and moments that have moved me on social media for years. Yet, for the longest time, I’ve felt a yearning for deeper connection with people who share the same values and interests. It has become clear that true closeness cannot be found in a space filled with an immeasurable amount of noise. So many of you have said it, and I agree: things need to change—and are already changing—when it comes to our use of social media. What used to be a fun way of sharing and connecting is increasingly becoming a trap of mindless consumption and comparison. Of course, there are positives to social media too, but I certainly feel that the balance has been off for a while.

With my letters, I hope to bring you something that inspires and connects. Something to hold in your hands and dive into at your own pace. I hope they will fill you with excitement for the season ahead, give you things to look forward to, and offer inspiration and ideas. You’ll read words from another heart and, hopefully, find that you are not alone in whatever you are going through. The letters will be written in a personal style, just like this piece here. Each one will also include a photograph captured specifically for this project, printed on the highest quality fine art paper.

Getting all the details right for these letters has been a fun journey. I am nearly there with everything, and I wanted to share another part of bringing this dream to life. At first, I considered making the letters available on my website through a subscription model, but that would have turned this simple idea into a costly project due to website fees. It also felt too transactional, taking away from the original meaning behind it.
